user manual: if you are a first-time user or switching from a liquid shampoo to a bar-shampoo, we recommend you read the steps below! otherwise, feel free to just lather up the bar and enjoy! the most important tip is not to use the bar directly on your hair, you'll get too much product and there can be built up. lather it up in your hands and then wash.
switching from a liquid shampoo to a bar shampoo require some prepping and some patience, but we've made it easy for you. just follow the steps below when using the shampoo bar for the first time.
1. remove build up
to remove build up caused by liquid shampoo make yourself a baking soda solution by mixing 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2,5 dl of water (if your hair is longer feel free to make a bit more of this magic combination). use the solution on dry or wet hair, before your shampoo. make sure to get it everywhere and massage it throughly on the scalp. let the solution sit for a few minutes before thoroughly rinsing with water.
2. lather then wash
now to the shampooing. you get the best result by lathering the bar between your hands and massaging it in (DON'T massage it straight to your hair since that may cause buildup). afterwards, rinse, and rinse again. a shampoo bar requires a little bit more rinsing than a liquid shampoo.
3. rinse it out, occasionally
the last phase (we promise) is to rinse your hair with a apple cider vinegar rinse. mix together 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar with 2,5 dl of lukewarm water (or a bit more if you have longer hair). pour the rinse on to your hair and let sit for around 3 minutes. then rinse just super fast with some cold water.
step 3 is good to do the first time you switch from a liquid to a bar shampoo, but you can do it whenever you feel like your hair needs a little extra boost, e.g. every second week. using these easy steps your hair can stay clean for up to four days in between washes!
